Abs Development and Child Organization was established in accordance with the provisions of the Yemeni Associations and Civil Organizations Law No. 1 of 2001 and its Executive Regulations No. 129 of 2004. The organization deals with complete transparency and a number of regulations organizing internal auditing by qualified specialists as well as external auditing by international donors.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors oversees all internal operational policies and regulations as well as relations with donors and ensuring self-evaluation on a regular basis. The Board of Directors also oversees all policies and their development, especially those related to the safeguarding and accountability policy as well as the conflict-of-interest policy.

Risk Management

Abs Development Organization for Women and Children ensures the implementation of a risk management system that works to mitigate risks for workers in humanitarian projects and contributes to identifying risks whether before, during or even after the implementation of projects by the organization’s staff.

Compliance

Absolutely, the organization prevents all types of risks related to money laundering by involving the local community, donors, beneficiaries and the audit department in monitoring and sharing information that contributes to identifying and isolating individuals and institutions that may pose a potential risk of money laundering or terrorist financing.

Audit

The Board of the Abs Development Organization supervises the implementation of a regular and objective process to obtain and evaluate evidence regarding the facts about the mechanism of access to aid and projects for beneficiaries with dignity and accuracy within the framework of the principles of international humanitarian work.

Executive Management

The organization includes a qualified staff to manage and operate development programs and projects that contribute to building a more aware society and involving women and children in the development process in Yemen.
