Health Projects At ADO

ِADO has distinguished itself in the field of health through its awareness-raising and field work since 1996. Among the projects implemented are:
Awareness Project on the Importance of Family Planning (Oxfam)/Abs and Al-Zahra (Four Years, 1998-2001):

The awareness-raising project on the importance of family planning, implemented by Oxfam in the Abs and Al-Zahra regions, is one of the most important projects aimed at raising health awareness among local communities regarding family planning and family planning. The project ran for four years, from 1998 to 2001.
Training workshops were conducted for families and health workers on the importance and benefits of family planning.
Field awareness campaigns were launched in targeted villages and areas to disseminate information and distribute informational brochures.
Awareness teams conducted home visits to targeted families to provide consultations and answer questions.
Worked with local health centers to provide family planning services and make them accessible to families.
Number of beneficiaries: Approximately 5,000 men and women in the targeted areas.

Primary Health Care Project (Oxfam)/in three different districts (2002):
The primary health care initiative contributed to improving access to basic health care for 25,000 individuals in Hajjah,with 1,000 males and 0 females benefiting from the healthcare services provided.

Establishment of 3 mobile clinics: Mobile clinics were deployed to remote areas lacking health facilities, providing medical services to individuals unable to access permanent health centers.
Conducting free medical examinations for 25,000 beneficiaries: Free medical examinations were conducted for beneficiaries to detect chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure early, in addition to detecting and providing necessary treatment for infectious diseases.

Maternal and child care: 8,000 beneficiaries: Activities included providing special care for pregnant women and new mothers, providing medical consultations, periodic examinations, and education on breastfeeding and proper nutrition for children.
Psychosocial Support for 2,500 Beneficiaries: Psychological support sessions and psychological counseling were provided to individuals affected by psychological trauma, with the aim of improving mental health and alleviating the stress and pressures faced by the population, especially in crisis-affected areas.

Training of 45 Local Health Workers: Local healthcare staff were trained in the basics of primary health care and basic diagnostic and treatment methods, contributing to building sustainable local capacity to support communities in the future.

Grant Project for Providing Midwives in Villages (Social Fund for Development)/Hajjah (2004):
Health and education were also prioritized. The Sana’a 10 Community Midwifery Scholarship Initiative supported 588 individuals (294 females and 294 males), training skilled midwives to serve rural villages, ensuring safer pregnancies and healthier births.

Malnutrition Prevention Awareness Project (Ministry of Health)/Abs:
In 2008, our tireless efforts in Hajjah focused on two important health initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of our community:
Malnutrition Prevention Awareness and the Malaria Control Program.
Raising awareness against malnutrition.
Our malnutrition prevention awareness campaign reached 2,300 families (11,600 beneficiaries), including:
Through educational workshops and community outreach, we empowered families with knowledge about nutrition and healthy eating practices.

By addressing malnutrition, we aimed to ensure that every child and adult received the nutrients they needed for a healthy life.
