In the shelter sector, ADO worked to provide a safe and sustainable environment for displaced persons and those affected by the conflict, by providing comprehensive support and emergency operations aimed at providing adequate and sustainable shelter.

The organization has achieved several significant accomplishments that have contributed to improving the lives of thousands of displaced and affected families, including the following:

Distribution of Non-Food Items and Shelter Supplies:
As part of the emergency response, the organization distributed non-food items and shelter supplies, with support from IOM, OCHA, and UNHCR, to 7,218 families, benefiting 50,526 beneficiaries. The aid included essential items such as blankets, tents, kitchen utensils, and blankets, to improve the living conditions of affected families.
Construction of Shelter and Bathrooms:
As part of providing sustainable solutions, the organization completed the construction of 853 shelters for displaced persons, benefiting 5,971 people. It also built 5,600 bathrooms for displaced persons with innovative designs that take into account people with disabilities, privacy, and climate change requirements, benefiting 69,045 beneficiaries. This improved health conditions in camps and areas inhabited by displaced persons.
Shelter Assessment and Monitoring, Camp Management:
As part of its efforts to improve housing conditions, the organization managed camps for 88,999 displaced persons in 102 different locations, providing shelter and basic services such as healthcare, water, and food.
Restoration of Damaged Homes:
The organization self-financed the restoration of three homes damaged by floods, helping affected families regain their livelihoods.

Through these diverse activities, Abs Organization has demonstrated its remarkable ability to meet the needs of displaced and affected people and provide sustainable solutions to improve their lives in the face of conflict and natural disasters.

The organization continues to expand its interventions to ensure improved living conditions for affected communities.

Emergency Response Distribution Project (Non-Food Items and Shelter Kits) (IOM)/Hajjah 2017:
Distribution of non-food items to 4,900 families.
Distribution of shelter kits to 4,900 families.
Providing material and moral support to 4,900 families.
Integrated Health, Water, Sanitation, and Shelter Response Project for Vulnerable IDPs in Abs, Hayran District (OCHA)/Hajjah:
Construction of 454 toilets for IDPs.
Construction of 522 shelters for IDPs for 3,655 beneficiaries.
Assessment and Monitoring of Shelter Units for Vulnerable IDPs in Hajjah Governorate (UNHCR and OCHA)/Hajjah 2018:
Distribution of non-food items to 2,318 families (16,226 beneficiaries).
Providing camp management to 74,999 IDPs.
Management of 52 IDP sites.
Assessment and Monitoring of Shelters for Vulnerable IDPs in Hajjah Governorate (UNHCR and OCHA)/Hajjah 2018:
Distribution of non-food items to 2,318 families (16,226 beneficiaries).
Providing camp management to 74,999 IDPs.
Management of 52 IDP sites.
Winter Support Project for War-Affected Families in the Capital Governorate, Hajjah, and Dhamar (OCHA)/Hajjah:
Providing winter support items to 1,800 families (12,600 beneficiaries).
Providing cash assistance to 1,800 families (12,600 beneficiaries).
Assessment and Monitoring of Shelters for Vulnerable IDPs in Hajjah Governorate (UNHCR)/Hajjah 2019:
Construction of 313 IDP shelters, serving 1,411 beneficiaries.
Management of 50 IDP sites, containing 14,000 families.
Cash assistance was distributed to 847 families (5,929 beneficiaries) for winter aid. Self-funding was also provided to renovate three homes affected by floods.
