Towards Better Opportunities for Youth (CARE) Project/Hajjah (Abs/Aslam/Khairan Al Muharraq):
Training 23 beneficiaries (training of trainers) for the Young Entrepreneurs Launch Program.
Furnishing training centers in Aslam, Abs, and Khairan Al Muharraq.
Training in handicrafts (electric generator maintenance for 25 trainees, motorcycle maintenance for 25 trainees, men’s tailoring for 44 trainees, women’s tailoring for 100 trainees, and engraving and incense making for 35 trainees).
Comprehensive training in project management and entrepreneurship to market their products, manage their businesses, and handle accounting.
Funding was provided to the winning projects to enable them to start their projects through the Azal Microfinance Foundation, which is contracted with both CARE International and ADO. In addition, professional bags were distributed according to the specialization.
Community Leadership and Empowerment of Rural Women Project (Oxfam)/Hajjah and Hodeidah:
Implementation of three training workshops for 92 selected facilitators, in addition to literacy department managers in the targeted areas.
Formation of 30 women’s development committees in the targeted communities.
Distribution of training kits to 92 facilitators.
Holding of 30 discussion sessions on the Reflect methodology.
Implementation of a women’s rights awareness workshop for 53 participants.
Elimination of 900 women.
Establishment of three women’s development forums in the targeted districts.
Establishment of the Collective Voice Network for human rights advocacy, which includes 26 organizations and associations.
Oxfam’s Humanitarian Assistance and Community Resilience Project/Hajjah:
Cash-for-Work, which benefited 1,650 beneficiaries, included the following activities: building water barriers and rehabilitating water networks, implementing village cleaning activities in the targeted areas, where 33% of the beneficiaries were women, rehabilitating wells, planting trees, and rehabilitating roads.
Training 150 youth in computer science, mobile phone maintenance, car mechanics, and electrical wiring. Listening Clubs Project (Oxfam)/Hajjah, Hodeidah, and the Capital Secretariat:
Training 20 facilitators and building their capacity on managing listening circles through focus groups.
Establishing 10 listening circle clubs in the three governorates (5 in Sana’a, 3 in Hajjah, 2 in Hodeidah).
Raising the awareness of 150 club members on women’s issues.
Collecting data from 150 questionnaires in the pre-survey and 143 questionnaires in the post-survey to determine the percentage of change in awareness among club members after the conclusion of the listening circles.
Carrying out several community-based awareness initiatives through listening clubs via social media.
Filling out data from 4,347 evaluation forms for each listening circle after each focus group discussion to assess the impact of the session on club members.
Raising awareness among 3,000 people from the target communities through implementing awareness campaigns on (Combating Domestic Violence Against Women – Promoting Women’s Rights).
