ADO operated Rapid Response

ADO has implemented a Rapid Response Management (RRM) program in large population centers. Frontline rapid response teams respond to alerts within 48 hours and conduct rapid multi-access assessments (MSA) to identify the urgent needs of displaced families in displacement camps and groups in need of urgent interventions, including:

– Providing temporary assistance during rapid interventions to help alleviate the suffering of displaced people.

– Providing water and sanitation services to the most vulnerable groups in the Abs and Khairan Al-Muharraq districts of Hajjah Governorate. : DKH

– Providing water and sanitation services to the most vulnerable groups in the Abs and Khairan Al-Muharraq districts of Hajjah Governorate with support from DKH.

– Assessing the conditions of those affected by the floods that submerged some villages in Al-Zahraa District of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, focusing on the most urgent assistance needs. Providing humanitarian assistance to a displaced family affected by a fire in the village of Barman Bani Hassan, providing them with shelter and household supplies, including blankets, gas stoves, and hygiene products.

– In partnership with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), a training course on basic nursing and first aid was organized for IDPs from the village of Bani Al-Akwa, Bani Hassan District, Abs District, Hajjah Governorate. (29) trainees attended the five-day course.

– Reconstructing 30 classrooms and rehabilitating and restoring 48 classrooms in the Abs and Mustaba districts of Hajjah Governorate, with the aim of contributing to increasing the student capacity (IDPs and residents) and alleviating severe overcrowding in the schools targeted by the project.

– In partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council, and with funding from the Education Cannot Wait Fund, the project also rehabilitated 22 bathrooms and constructed three bathrooms in the same schools targeted by the project. – Assessing the conditions of those affected by the floods that submerged some villages in Al Zahraa District, Al Hudaydah Governorate, and focusing on the urgent assistance they need.
