After being forced to flee the conflict in Hodeidah, Ibrahim Doublah, a father of two, returned to his village of Qataya. Life was harder, but hope arrived through the project to enhance resilience through innovative and sustainable improvement of food security and livelihoods. Ibrahim received training in boat and engine maintenance, as well as vital tools to start his own small and medium-sized enterprise.
“It was my dream to start my own workshop,” he says. Now he supports his family and helps other fishermen, proving that even in adversity, empowerment can lead to change. Thanks to ADO, DKH, and BMZ, Ibrahim’s workshop has become a beacon of resilience.
