A child is protected from the catastrophic effects of Early marriage

Najah is one of ADO's reported cases in CP programme that was funded in UNICEF in 2020. Najah is an impoverished nine-year-old IDP who has fled her village along with her family to find themselves forced to live under a tree in Abs district. Early marriage is most common among IDP communities. '' We have nothing left to be sold for the living'' Nagah’s father said. One day, he decided to force his daughter to accept to get married. Soon after the case was reported, ADO team took immediate humanitarian action and has managed to stop the marriage aiming to protect Najah through increasing the community awareness on early marriage risks on young girls and the provision of assistance in various programme components like Shelter, WASH, Cash for food to help Najah go back to school in addition to Child Protection).
