Women’s Literacy Project in Abs District (Self-Funded)/Abs:
Recognizing that education is a powerful catalyst for change, we launched a women’s literacy project in the same district, aiming to also target women. With 1,350 participants, including 450 women and 900 men, this light-hearted initiative highlighted the crucial role women play in shaping their communities.
By equipping women with drawing skills, we helped them gain confidence and independence, enabling them to engage not only in social and political spheres but also instilled in the people of Abs a sense of responsibility and resilience.
The impact of our work goes beyond mere numbers, creating a new generation with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for and contribute to the development of their communities.
As we reflect on these achievements, we are right to believe that education in Hajjah has laid the foundations for lasting change. Through literacy, we ultimately improve people’s lives.
ADO’s primary goal is to build a brighter future for all our communities, and to cultivate the knowledge that will enable them to flourish for future generations.
Another of the organization’s projects is the Women’s Literacy Project in Bani Al-Adabi:
The Al-Adabi project specifically targeted women’s empowerment, with 1,225 participants—350 men and 875 women—enrolling.
This project played a pivotal role in raising literacy rates among women, enabling them to contribute more effectively to their families and communities.
Furthermore, ADO execute another project of Girls and Women Education Project (SFD)/Abs:
SFD project had a positive impact on 2000 individuals, with 1000 women and 1000 girls benefiting from targeted educational initiatives.
This project has reinforced our belief that empowering women and girls through education is essential for sustainable development.
These initiatives reflect our firm commitment to fostering growth and resilience in Hajjah’s communities.
Through education, health and livelihoods programs, one of ADO strategic goals is to contribute for a brighter future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
